Coconut Wax & Wooden Wicks

 
Coconut wax is naturally softer than other waxes. It is clean-burning, meaning it produces no harmful chemicals when lit.  It is considered the healthiest wax to make candles from because coconut wax candles are smokeless and soot-free. Coconut Wax burns cleaner and longer than any of the other waxes. Coconut wax is also one of the slowest-burning waxes out there. Your candle will last up to 50% longer than a traditional candle. Longer burn gives you a better investment for your candle purchase. 
Coconut wax candles have an outstanding scent throw- considered to be the strongest scent throw of all the candle waxes, so prepare to have enticing aromas fill your home. Coconut wax has been overlooked by the candle industry because it is more expensive per pound. We don't care: we know it's worth it!
It is possible that your wax will become darker after it has been burned due to the fragrance oils used in the candle. **This is normal discoloration.
When we ship to extremely hot states or during hot months, we will use ice and insulated bags due to the fact that Coconut wax is so soft and melts at a lower temperature than other candles. In these cases, we advise overnight shipping of your candle and to be sure that someone is home to bring your box inside so it doesn't sit out in extreme heat.
 
Wood wicks are a bit different than a traditional cotton wick- they burn longer, cleaner, and create a charming crackling sound. But, they do require a bit of extra care. ... The shorter the wick, the better the flame. If the wick is too long, it won't pull the wax and will extinguish quickly, or it will produce black smoke.
Since wooden wicks have a wide base, unlike traditional cotton wicks, they are able to create wider melt pools resulting in a clean, even burn.

Burn times will always vary depending on the placement of your candle. Drafty areas will burn slightly quicker. Burn times will also vary depending on the height of your wick. The longer the wick, the quicker the candle will burn. 

You can extend your candles burn time by burning the candles long enough to allow the wax pool to reach the edge. If you do not allow them to burn all the way to the edge of the container when you first burn them, they will begin to tunnel down into the wax instead of melting all the way to the edges.
